Classes
BetterTrades offers free and paid online classes to help students learn how to trade the stock market. There is information available to match the interests and ability level of most people who are interested in learning to trade the market.
The free classes may be accessed by any registered visitor to the BetterTrades website. These classes are taught by one of the BetterTrades coaches and serve as an introduction to a strategy or technique. Some of the classes are taught live, giving students the chances to sit in the classroom while the instructor goes over the material and allows visitors a chance to ask questions. Many free online classes are available 24 hours a day via the on-demand option, which permits students to watch the recorded classes whenever it may be the most convenient.
Each of the five specialty coaches - Markay Latimer, Ryan Litchfield, Darlene Powell and Bob Eldridge - has free online classes available at the website. These classes are designed to get your stock market education started by offering a taste of what the classes have to offer. The free classes provide some basic information and an invitation to attend one of the BetterTrades classes that provide the more in-depth material.
Most premium online classes last for two hours, although some offer four hours of instruction. The live online classes can accommodate hundreds of students for each session and give students the opportunity to ask questions to the instructions via a text-chat tool. In addition to the live information, the material in these BetterTrades classes is archived and can be viewed by the student for up to 60 days. This capability is quite powerful, since it enables students to review the material at their own pace and can be used to fill in anything that wasn't comprehended the first time through the instruction.
Each specialty coach will typically teach at least one premium online class each month. Market Essentials instructors Dale Zamzow, Rob Roy, and Doug Sutton also offer premium online classes from time to time. All the material has helped BetterTrades earned its reputation as a top source for stock market education.
The premium on location classes give students a chance to interact with the BetterTrades coaches in a live setting. Because of the typically small class size, students are afforded the opportunity for additional individual interaction with the instructor. The instructors can also adjust their examples so they conform to the current market conditions. Classes taught in a live, on location format, are:
Ryan Litchfield teaches "Trader's Forge," which trains students how to trade without emotion by using predetermined entries and exits. Ryan also features "Advanced Trader's Forge" for those who have taken the original class and want to improve their understanding of options trading.
Markay Latimer teaches "Trend Trading My Way," which shows students how to locate trending stocks by using the stock's price chart and candlestick patterns, and then potentially ride the momentum of those stocks to make profit.
Darlene Powell teaches "Trading the QQQQ" and "Lifestyle Trading with LEAPS." The Qs class features Darlene's method for training students to use signals thrown by the ETF that contains the NASDAQ 100. The LEAPS class contains information on how to trade with safety and with success by using long-range options.
